形容詞の語順
私:このサイトは方言学が主題だが、突き詰めれば言語学を扱うという事になる。今日は形容詞の語順について。
君:What is the difference between mission impossible and impossible mission ?
私:Mission: Impossible (with the colon) is the official title of the long-running television series and subsequent film franchise. The colon implies that "Impossible" is a description or a designation of the "Mission." It's like a code name or a specific type of mission within the IMF (Impossible Missions Force). The phrase itself has become a proper noun due to the popularity of the series.

私:日本語と英語は「右側主要部の法則」 (Righthand Head Rule) (Williams 1981)が働く。これが文法。

君:In passing, the phrase "a white snowy mountain" makes perfect sense.
私:`A red stop sign" also makes sense (stop signs are typically red), and "a black night" as well (night is often associated with darkness/blackness).
君:もっと沢山の場合はどうかしら。
私:アイネクライネナハトムジーク、突然に独逸語。ただし the phrase "one small night music" doesn't make grammatical sense in English. Insttead, I would rather say "a short piece of night music" or "a brief night musical selection."
君:なるほど、一筋縄ではいかないのね。
私:左様でございます。それでも文法はある。数詞は必ず一番目に来る。これ、おそらく万国共通。単数には、なんでもかんでも、まずは a(an) をつけよう。
君:赤い三つのリンゴ、は日本語としてもアウトね。
